We booked a non-smoking room here through Expedia. The moment we entered the room, we were hit with the overwhelming stench of smoke. There were no other available rooms, so we did the best we could to air the room out. Aside from the smoke, the rooms were not very clean. The pillows had stains on them. I will definitely be avoiding this place from now on.
This is a review for a suite. First off the staff was very nice, polite and quick. The first thing we noticed about the room is the door doesn't shut by itself, could be a pro or a con. The room was non-smoking and was very clean, and pretty spacy. The jacuzzi in the room was more like a big tub, but we enjoyed it anyways. There was a balcony attached to the room but it wasn't to outside, it was to the pool room, which was weird. 4 stars cause the door, weird balcony location and small jacuzzi. Decent price tho.
A no-frills hotel with a clean bed, refrigerator, and microwave in the rooms. Convenient for a single-night stay if going to the nearby track.
Aside from this, we were given a room key earlier in the day and later that evening when we actually went to the room, we walked in to find a lady and her dog asleep in what had been THEIR room for several days. We were provided with a corrected room, however another couple with a 2 month old baby had a similar double booking incident that didn't appear to be resolving. Next time I'd definitely spend the extra money and stay at the slightly nicer and hopefully more hygienic Holiday inn down the street. Bad experience, but I'd bet we didn't have it the worst. Hope the baby didn't get flea bites all over.
Horrible!!! Dirty rooms, hair in tubs, very gross rooms needs a complete update .worst thing is they charge top dollar for the area. Breakfast is hard boiled eggs, or waffle and old hard sweet rolls. Shame on this chain for allowing this ramshackle to stay in business. Oh PS fire alarms do not work. Fire Marshall should inspect this location too. Hotel fire right next door with smoke pouring into this hotel rooms and not one fire alarm went off! Other hotel burned down and smoldered for hours not one fire alarm was triggered!!!
The location is convenient and appeared clean, however after one nights stay I realized that this dog friendly hotel was infested with fleas. I left the following day with over 25 bites spread throughout my feet, ankles and lower legs. The next few days were miserable!
